In the third quarter of 2022, the top city building games on the Android platform in the United Arab Emirates showcased varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at each app’s performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Megapolis: City Building Sim saw a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting with 312 in late June and falling to 172 by the end of September. Active users similarly decreased from 1.3K to 1.2K over the same period.

Craftheim - Lumberjack Island experienced a significant spike in downloads from 87 in mid-July to 458 by the end of August, before settling at 289 at the end of September. Active users peaked at 1.3K in late August and ended the quarter at 940.

Global City: Building Games showed a marked increase in weekly revenue, starting at $143 in late June and reaching $480 by mid-September. Downloads peaked at 492 in late August but reduced to 95 by the end of September. Active users saw an increase from 530 to 958 by the end of August but dropped to 532 by the end of the quarter.

SimCity BuildIt maintained relatively stable download numbers throughout the quarter, peaking at 264 in early September. Revenue saw a peak of $524 in mid-August. Active users fluctuated but ended the quarter at around 1.7K, down from a high of 2.1K in early September.

Transport Tycoon Empire: City experienced a surge in downloads from 45 in late June to 456 in mid-September. Revenue also increased from $22 in late August to $78 in early September. Active users grew significantly from 104 in late June to 606 by mid-September, ending the quarter at 539.
